July 13th, Day 37. Letter reading scene shot, major editing.

Everything that we’ve captured so far has now been rough-edited. Here’s a frame from the letter reading scene:

I created a rough final cut, piecing together all the finished sequences. To do: officer scene, cemetery scene, and B-Roll shots for V.O.

Just looking at what’s finished already suddenly made me realize that my dream is coming true! I’m making a film with a purpose; that’s what my life’s about. I would like to do a premiere showing sometime in August and invite not only people connected with the movie and close friends, but also people I know that are unsaved. But anyway, it has amazed me to see this project coming together, and bringing with it the start of my life’s work.

I have seen first hand God’s working in this movie:

• People to act and help out
• The provision of equipment
• The provision of sound equipment from our church
• Permission to use a song from a publishing company
• Timely weather and lighting conditions perfect for scenes being shot
• Resources to help me to create a professional quality final cut

Praise the Lord for His wonderful mercies and grace! I thank Him for the things that He is doing.
